I made it in a single afternoon and left the seam between them showing on purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How it came together<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It started as two separate sketches that would not sit still on their own. The second one used fewer, bigger scales, and every blue finally showed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scissors are honest. The wings only line up if both sides are cut from one folded sheet, which sounds obvious and took three tries to remember.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fig came out of a pink offcut I had kept for a year.
