Six series, up close

Every series is three pieces cut from one stubborn idea. Here are two corners of each, close enough to see the torn edges.

Small Suns

Suns in every mood I could cut, from a slow pink morning to a double noon.

Night Garden

Big Pink Flower

It started as one petal I cut too wide.

So I cut eleven more to match it, and the flower kept growing until it filled the whole board. It hung in the Night Garden show at The Fold in Lisbon this spring, and it was the piece people asked about most.

Sketchbook

From the table

The corners nobody sees once a piece is framed: torn edges, glue marks, and the offcuts I could not throw away.

Tuesday: too much blue again.

The fig took four tries.

Never throw away an offcut.

Prints for the hallway

Giclee prints on heavy cotton paper, made from scans of the cut originals. I sign and number every one by hand, and they ship flat in a card sleeve.
