Artwork
The parts of a page about one piece: details, a large image, a pair, close-ups, how it was made, a series statement, a studio note, the print edition, where it was shown, and more from the series.

Night Garden
Big Pink Flower
The flower by the back door, cut about ten times bigger than it grows. Every petal is torn from one of three pinks and layered so the rough edges catch the light.
- Medium: Cut paper on board
- Size: 50 x 75 cm
- Year: 2026
- Edition: 30 giclee prints, signed and numbered

Paper Birds
A flock and a heron
Every bird in the series sits on the same brown kraft, the kind that comes wrapped around parcels. These two hang side by side in the studio.

Seven Going South. One of them always wears red.
Heron in the Reeds. Forty feathers, one quiet Sunday.

Night Beam, up close
Three parts of the same piece, and how each one was cut. Most of what I care about lives in the edges.

From a matchbox sketch to a scan
Big Pink Flower took three weeks at the big table. Every piece goes through the same four steps, in the same order.
- A thumbnail sketch. In pencil and no bigger than a matchbox, so only the shapes that matter fit.
- Choosing paper by the window. Colors lie under a lamp, so every sheet is picked in daylight, laid out along the sill.
- Cutting the big shapes first. Sky, ground, and the one big thing. Small pieces wait until I know where they have to sit.
- Gluing and scanning. Wheat paste, a night flat under a stack of books, then a scan big enough for an A2 print.
Night Garden
The garden after the lights go out
Last winter I swapped white board for black, and every color I glued down came up like a lamp being switched on. Night Garden is three pictures of the small yard behind the studio after dark: ferns under a thin moon, moths crowding the one lamp, and a pink flower cut far bigger than it grows.
Two Suns began as one sunset. Then I tore the sheet down the middle by accident, liked the tear better than the picture, and cut a morning for the other half.

Take it home as a print
Prints are giclee, made from a full-size scan of the cut original on 310 gsm cotton rag, so the torn edges and the grain come through. I sign and number every one, and when the 30 of each size are gone, they are gone.
| Size | Paper | Edition | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| A3, 29.7 x 42 cm | Cotton rag | 30 | $65 |
| A2, 42 x 59.4 cm | Cotton rag | 30 | $120 |
Prints ship flat between two sheets of board from Porto, within 5 working days of your order. Postage is worked out at checkout, and anything that arrives bent gets replaced.
