Different seat limits for each session
Try a workshop with 4 seats at 10:00, 12 at 14:00, the default 6 at 16:00, and a closed 17:00 session. All examples use fictional data.
1. Compare the available seats
The 10:00 session starts with 3 sample seats reserved, leaving 1 to try. The 14:00 session can accept more people than the service default. The closed 17:00 session is excluded from the booking choices.
| Session | Seat limit | Seats left | Rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wed, Oct 7 · 10:00 IST | 4 | 1 | Custom limit |
| Wed, Oct 7 · 14:00 IST | 12 | 12 | Custom limit |
| Wed, Oct 7 · 16:00 IST | 6 | 6 | Service default |
| Wed, Oct 7 · 17:00 IST | 0 | 0 | Closed |
Choose 2026-10-07 in the date picker below. Booking times use your selected timezone. Reload this page after a booking or setting change to refresh this table.
2. Try a booking
Take the last available seat at 10:00, or choose 14:00 and try booking 8 seats. Your confirmation includes controls to reschedule or cancel. Reload this page afterward to see the updated counts. If another visitor has filled a session, try one with seats left.
3. Change the limits in the workspace
Sign in with bookings-demo and password demo. Under Seat limits by session, change one start while leaving the others alone. Blank uses the default; 0 closes an empty session. A limit below the seats already reserved cannot be saved. Clear an override only when the default can hold its existing reservations.
4. Move or cancel your booking
Use the controls on your confirmation screen. Moving a booking checks the destination session; cancelling releases its seats. This example intentionally allows overlap with the other demo services so those examples do not block it.
